hi! i carn believe that i have been blogging for half an hour, and the toot computer just blacked out! together with my painstakingly written entry! im currently fuming..
but anyway, for the second time i'm typing this.. i had a real great time yesterday! what i thought would be a lazy day spent reading was brightened up considerably when da ge (pong pong) wanted to date me! :) played squash at kallang.. got thrashed painfully.. its really sad to see what you have trained up for the past few years get thrown down the drain because you haven't been in touch with the game.. i wanna be good in squash again! hopefully uni will help my squash.. but ya, back to gettin thrashed.. it wasn't a good experience, trust me.. chase the ball until my lungs exploded.. got the point, and then.. alas! serve out!!! or else.. serve down!!! goodness!! i can just imagine gopal's angry face and his curses.. remembered the times he got so pissed with me serving out.. haha.. so now.. dear da ge affectionately calls me "love nine", or "perfect love", while i have no choice but to acknowledge him as "nine love".. hmph...
meet uncle latif!! the man who has watched me "grow up", and has never failed to bring a smile onto my face or make me feel at home whenever i go squashing at kallang.. he's a great man!!
and yes, cartoon pong pong.. :P
after getting whipped.. we went to the volkswagen showroom to sign some papers for his new car.. yes.. pong got another NEW car.. aahhhh.. black stylish classy volkswagen.. and being the volkswagen showroom, it was littered with.. beetle cars!!! no prizes for guessing! we beat the hell out of each other.. it must have been a funny sight.. 2 crazy people lookin wide eyed, hands posed for immediate action once the eyes spot a beetle car.. gosh.. my skin turned red man!! another of the silly games we picked up during rg times right, girls? together with the "bai yi si mi sek" pull ear thing.. haha.. its just funny to think of the slaps and ear pulling we endured during those years.. haha.. :)
haha.. the dealer who handled pong's car transaction was eyeing us weirdly.. i didn't notice that until pong told me later though.. and michelle! pong did it the "save the last dance" way! haha!
da ge: "he was giving us the weird look, so i deliberately put my arms around u, and give him a hard time trying to figure out how we're related!"
hilarious. i just hope the dealer's not that stupid to think that da ge actually bought the volkswagen for me! haha!!!
after that we ambled around in suntec.. but there's no hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, so we decided to go to marina to watch ice princess instead.. what happened there was more hilarious!
at the ticketing booth:
da ge: hi! can i get 2 tickets for ice princess at 6.40?
female cashier: sure. that will be 14 dollars.
2 seconds later
cashier: couple seats for you? [smiles]
da ge and me: [look at each other, wide eyed, jaws dropped, incredulous]
2 seconds later
da ge and me: [burst out laughing uncontrollably]
cashier: [utterly confused]
2 seconds later:
me: da ge!! she wants to give us couple seats! [laughs hysterically]
da ge: [in between laughs] what are couple seats? [1 second later] actually, er, normal seats will do!!
2 seconds later:
[da ge and i walk away laughing like maniacs]
far away from the counter:
da ge: sweetie! 2 people actually mistook us as couples today! what's happening? i didn't know you look that old! *luffs like a cartoon*
me: [shoots him a mock angry look and rolls eyes] hey! i don't look that old ok! she must be blind lo!
da ge: ok, ok. either i look young, or you look old. i let you choose. [gives that smug cartoon look, urgh]
me: [exasperated] [glares at him wide eyed, trying to think of something vicious to say] [angry look gives way to helpless look upon realising that i am a lamb cornered, with no way out] [panicks] [mumbles]
fine! i can't be looking old, so i suppose you look young.. HMPH. but i m sure they must be blind! [shoots imaginary daggers at him with my eyes]
da ge: [pumps fist in the air with a look of triumph on his cartoon face]
yes!! YES!!! what a wonderful day this is!!! whenever you call me that three letter word again, i shall make references back to this day.. at gv marina, on 22nd june, when people mistook us for a couple and you admitted that i look young, perhaps younger than you!! ohhhh YES!!!!! [ smiles and laughs and laughs and laughs]
me: [rolls eyes and sticks out tongue] [speaks in a feeble attempt to defend myself] i'm sure lo! this will only last for today! tomorrow, you'll grow so old, and i'll become so young, no one will think we're a couple again!! hmph!
da ge: you wanna bet?
me: bet then bet la!
da ge: accept the truth, sweetie! [hideous laughter erupts]
goodness.. that cartoon man! he's 19 yrs older than us!! wonder what those people were thinking! haha!!
but ya, ice princess was great! nice show! makes me wish i can ice skate.. i felt so scared when they did their triple jumps and stuff.. afraid that they'll land wrongly and break their ankles or something like that.. but its such a graceful elegant sport! the show's pretty good! and there were only 3 couples in the cinema, but there were 4 guys! haha.. da ge's positively sure that the pair of guys was gay.. cos he saw them feeding each other popcorn! and then nosy me was trying to snoop around.. quite an interesting experience to watch a movie with 5 people sharing the cinema with you.. haha.. and trying to notice the gay couple out of the corner of my eye.. haha.. :P one guy actually went out in the middle of the show to giant and bought a whole big bag of tidbits.. and i carn see much of what they were going cos they were lying low in their seats... hhhmmmm.. haha!
and after that.. we played a prank on someone.. and i put words into pong's mouth that made him puke.. haha.. but to the person being pranked on: it's true that you're lucky!!! haha!
oh! you can hear the parade commands originating from padang from marina lo! and i saw the chinook helicopters carrying singapore flags flying across the sky.. and ya, crazy me got so so excited and shot a few pics of them.. too high on adrenaline.. :P
and i guess i shall end with a few random shots..

once again, i cannot feel more grateful to.. fate, destiny, whatever you call it, for putting all these people in my life, for me to love, to hold, to support me, to guide me.. i'm a lucky girl :)
